I am thrilled to be teaching third grade at Aspen this year!
I’m confident it is going to be a year filled with fun and learning.
A few facts about me: This is my fifth year teaching third grade at Aspen and my tenth year in the district. I previously taught fifth grade dual language. I attended Illinois Wesleyan University where I studied Elementary Education and Spanish. I later completed my bilingual/ELL certification and obtained my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction through National Louis University. My favorite part of being a teacher is getting to work with such curious and enthusiastic young learners. Energy is contagious in the classroom! I love making learning hands-on whenever possible and empowering my students to become independent thinkers. Outside of school I enjoy reading, spending time with family and friends, doing yoga, and enjoying the beautiful city of Chicago where I live. I try to get outside whenever I can to run, bike, hike, and camp. I love exploring national parks and sleeping under the stars! Please do not hesitate to contact me with questions throughout the year. Let’s work together to help your child have a successful third grade experience! |
